We love February.

We love ice cream.

And our daughter’s still love the movie Frozen.

So, with vanilla ice cream topped with frozen strawberry hearts, we figured we couldn’t go wrong. We were right! This easy, simple and delicious dessert has been a hit around our houses, and it’s so cute, we can’t wait to make it for friends and family.

Surprise your loved ones this month{after all, it is the month of love} with ice cream topped with frozen strawberry hearts.

Here’s how…

Ingredients
Strawberries
Sugar
Wilton Mini Heart Silicone Mold
Vanilla Ice Cream
Bananas
Wilton Round Linzer Cutter Set

How to Create
Cut off the stems from about 8-10 strawberries and place them in a blender or Cuisinart.
Add 1-2 tablespoons sugar.
Puree the strawberries and sugar together until smooth.
Use a spoon to fill heart silicone mold with strawberries puree. Fill the molds to the top, without overflowing them.
Place in a freezer bag and freeze for at least 3 hours.
Once the hearts are set and you’re ready for some ice cream, scoop vanilla ice cream in a bowl, and simply press the strawberry frozen hearts out with your fingers.
We love vanilla ice cream with bananas, so we also used a Wilton Round Linzer Cutter to cut slices of bananas into small hearts, and froze them along with the strawberries. The combo of strawberries, bananas and vanilla ice cream was delicious…in fact, the bowl was devoured in less than 2 minutes!

Search For Your Awesome with Bing and The Alison Show

I was lucky enough to be a part of ‘Search For Your Awesome’ with bing and The Alison Show twice in one week – once at Alt Summit and then again on their ‘Search for Your Awesome’ tour in Denver! We believe in what bing and The Alison Show are doing. We are all awesome and its hard to remind ourselves of how awesome we are with our busy lives, and our sometimes noisy and loud worst critic {ourselves}, so we applaud the fun and generous team for touring the country and getting the creative community together to inspire and create…and just be awesome!

Last week was such a whirlwind and I feel like I’ve been living in a lovely dream. You see, I’ve been dreaming of attending Alt Summit for years now, and was lucky enough to score a ticket this year. As I sat at each roundtable and expert presentation, or enjoyed the new company of crazy-talented bloggers, bakers, creators and brands at fabulous parties, I took many moments to really take it all in and feel grateful. It was the opportunity of a lifetime {that I hope to make an annual thing}. I still haven’t quite digested everything yet, or visited new friends sites, so once I do, I will share it all with you.

Upon my return from Alt, I was invited to craft and celebrate awesomeness with bing and The Alison Show in Denver at a gorgeous new venue, Blanc. We enjoyed delicious food from Los Molinos, styling by the amazingly talented and sweet Melanie at You Are My Fave and then craft time {my happy place} with Rachel from Smile and Wave.

We’re sharing some of the ‘Search for Your Awesome’ party with you today, and hopefully you can find small ways to celebrate ‘your awesome’ daily. If you need a little help, Alison is the girl you need to check out here and here. She’s as fun and happy as she appears to be online. I just loved her.

happy easter sundae_jsorelle

We are planning to celebrate the upcoming Easter Sunday by first, spending time in prayer and reverence at church in our finest spring pastels, devouring a delicious brunch with family and friends {accompanied with a mimosa or bloody mary}, participating in an Easter Egg Hunt with the kiddos and then topping the Holy Day off with an Easter Sundae {beautifully and cleverly packaged, of course}.

Our FREE Happy Easter Sundae printable is available now. All you have to do is download and print the free printable here, find a cute box or bag, and get to the store to buy ice cream and all the yummy sundae fixin’s. This makes for a lovely hostess gift on Easter, and also a fun end {or beginning if you want} to the day. Vanilla ice cream covered in torn pieces of a Reese’s Peanut Butter Egg sounds so amazing right now!

I bought my Kraft box at Target {$3 in dollar bins…omg, I LOVE and crave the dollar bins at Target}, and filled it with pastel paper shreds, treat bowls, colorful spoons and napkins, and chocolate syrup and sprinkle toppings conveniently stored in adorable $1 glass jars {also from the Target dollar bins}.
