favorite things {for a friend}

I am truly blessed to have a loyal group of girlfriends I can always count on, and who love me through it all. Just thinking about all of them makes me smile. Everyone needs a good friend in his/her life…it’s therapy you don’t have to pay for! 🙂 Think about your girlfriends this holiday season, and if you can’t afford to buy them something, make them dinner or send a card letting them know how much you love and appreciate them.

another anniversary to note

I’ve been celebrating another anniversary this past week…a special one that comes once a year…the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Next season on sale NOW. Gotta love that, especially at a place like Nordstrom where the word “sale” does not often appear.

I’m a total Nordy’s girl, so I’ve been scoping out the sale online and in the stores. Here’s the {reasonable} things I’ve been eyeing. The {unreasonable…or in other words, way out of my budget} items is a whole different post, but believe me, I have some noted.

DIY pearl necklace

We love the look of a chunky pearl necklace, but we don’t always love the price tag associated with it. Erica at P.S. I Made This put together a step-by-step tutorial on how to make one yourself.
