fiorenza

Firenze, my favorite city in the world.
My husband and I studied abroad in Florence three years ago, and we miss it every day. But nowadays, revisiting Florence requires just a quick trip to the home office.

As a wedding gift, my husband bought me a 1595 Florence Scrolled cloth map from Restoration Hardware. Waiting almost 10 months post-wedding to open the map was difficult, but definitely worth the wait!

Restoration Hardware has a variety of antique maps to choose from.
This would make an awesome 1-year wedding anniversary {paper} present! Happy shopping!

mad hatter tea party

We’re MAD about these photos from this Mad Hatter’s tea party
…and we know you will be, too!

Two hundred guests donned their best hat and garden party attire on Sunday June 10th for Lund’s 3rd Annual Mad Hatter’s Tea & Bubbly in South Burlington, Vermont, where everyone got to be a kid for a few hours and help support Lund’s work.

It was an afternoon of mayhem and merriment filled with scones, fresh berries, tea sandwiches, pastries, tea from around the world, champagne and more.
Festivities included a treasure hunt, musical toad stools, face painting, hat making and croquet. The most original hats won prizes.

The event helped raise more than $23,000 to support Lund’s programs that strengthen children and families across Vermont. With more than 122 years of experience, Lund annually serves more than 5,000 children and family members.
Lund’s work focuses on three goals: strengthening families, reducing child abuse and neglect, and helping to create new families through adoption. Its mission is to help children thrive by serving families with children, pregnant or parenting teens and young adults, and adoptive families.

robin + chris

We were first introduced to Robin and her mother, Karen, a few years ago when our very own, Jenna, got engaged. She bought her wedding gown at their adorable bridal boutique, Felice Bridal in Denver. And just over a year ago, we were back at {where else?} Felice’s shopping for my own wedding gown 🙂

Last fall, Robin and Chris tied the knot at an intimate, 24 guest wedding in Orlando, Florida.
The couple met right after one of Robin’s {many} knee surgeries. And after six short months, they were engaged!
… Guess the pain was worth it in the end!

We hope you enjoy the photos from their wedding celebration!

From the bride: One of my favorite details … Donna {Felice Bridal’s fabulous seamstress} surprised me and stitched a Tiffany charm with the letter ‘S’ on it for my brother that had passed away a few years ago.  She attached it with a blue ribbon for my something blue.

The bride, mother of the bride and maid of honor all wore gorgeous Romona Keveza gowns.
{… I wouldn’t expect their taste to be any less than stunning!}

I surprised Chris with his wedding gift by flying his best friend, Nico, who lives in Germany, to the wedding to be his best man. Nico arrived from Germany a few hours before we did. I was going to have him waiting for us at dinner, but Chris requested that we have dinner alone before all of the wedding craziness started.  So, the hotel coordinated with me to have Nico serve us our dessert, which turned out perfect!

I surprised Chris with a groom’s cake. Chris is a huge Chick-Fil-A fan. I tell him his has chickfiladar as directions are often based off of Chick-Fil-A locations, so I asked the Ritz if they could make a Chick-Fil-A groom’s cake. It was amazing!

anna be: five, part 1

Playing dress up is fun, especially when it’s a birthday party in the wedding industry!

One of Denver’s most fabulous bridal boutique’s, Anna Be, celebrated it’s 5th birthday 1920’s style. Hands down, Anna Be: Five was one of the most fabulous wedding events we’ve been to. Guests filled Denver’s Mile High Station wearing flapper gowns, boas, feathers and red lipstick {well, the ladies did!}. Amazing wedding vendors created their own party inside tents along the brick walls of the party area.

I’m telling you, it was every girl’s wedding dreamland. At every corner, there was extravagant flower arrangements, table settings and unbelievable lighting. Hors d’oeurves and champagne were passed while funky music played all night long.

I’m so excited to share these event photos from Jenna Walker Photographers.
Cheers to inspiration, creativity and, of course, wedding season!

ps stay tuned for part 2 glam pics
