pint size superhero + giveaway

little tooders capes_jsorelle

It’s a bird. It’s a plane. It’s Superman. Only it’s the cutest super man or women I’ve ever seen…my very own kids. They don’t have the protruding muscles, Hollywood stunt doubles or the ability to climb skyscrapers…but armed with imagination and bravery to save the world one teddy bear at a time…they are my ultimate and favorite super heroes of all time!

And, now they have the perfect and must-have superhero accessory – their cape!

Thanks to my dear friend Devon, who surprised the kids with capes, and her friend, Leigh Ann, owner of LIL tOOders, who designed and created the adorable, custom capes.

The capes have been a hit around here – my son pretends to be a superhero and my daughter pretends she is wearing Elsa or Anna’s cape from Frozen. We have been living in a Frozen world of Let It Go lyrics and hair braids all winter with my 3.5 year old daughter, so this cape actually even excites me. It’s just like the real thing for a young girl with these LIL tOOders versions of the Princess and Queen’s capes.

The lightweight fleece capes are available for $25 and the satins are $30.  You can re-order any of the capes you see in the photos, or customize the cape for your child. E-mail Leigh Ann at liltooders@yahoo.com to order, visit her on facebook or her website for more information and photos…and other great products.

Lucky for you, Leigh Ann is offering a free cape to a J. Sorelle viewer, just in time for those Easter baskets!

Unique Gift’s with Inspiring Quotes for Everyone On Your List

Oh my goodness – where does the time go? I can’t believe we are hours away from ringing in the year 2014. Sorry we have been MIA. Between the holidays, our family and friends – we took time away from the computer. And, to be honest, it was fantastic and much needed!

We hope you had a wonderful holiday season, filled with love and laughter! The hustle and bustle of Christmas was somewhat overwhelming this year, but we finally took a breath to sit and enjoy the magic of Christmas day. Now our houses took like a toy store exploded, and we are trying to find new homes for all the wonderful gifts we received.

As I sit and reflect on this year, I am so grateful. So, I took some time to find some of the quotes that either inspired me this year…or they are already inspiring me for next year. And, the good news is that quotes can come in all shapes and forms, to remind us everyday of the strength that lies within us, and the beauty that’s all around us.

Holiday Paint Chip Ideas

Paint chips are more than just samples to bring home to see what looks good on the wall next to your kitchen…they are the source of fabulous DIY, colorful projects! While I love so many day-to-day paint chip DIY’s, we love these particular projects for the upcoming holidays.

Paint Chip Table Runner, Eclectically Vintage
Impress your Thanksgiving or Christmas friends and family with a colorful, maybe even ombre table runner, made of paint chips.

Owl Paint Chip Wall Art, The Homes I Have Made
Owls are so relevant this time of year, and personally, I think they are hoot-rific. This framed Owl Paint Chip Art would look great for a fall entry.

Now that you have Owl art for Thanksgiving, you will need a framed piece of art for Christmas. This one is perfect by The Red Thread Blog

Paint Chip Trees, Hubby Made Me
Omg, we just LOVE these trees for gift tags! Cinnamon stick trunks – oh, what cuteness!

Paint Chip Gift box, How About Orange
Wrap your small gifts this year in a handmade, paint chip box.

Paint Chip Snowmen Bookmarks, Bam Crafty Mammas
These adorable snowmen are sold out, but you can totally re-create yourself! And, instead of ornaments, make them into bookmarks! It would be a great craft to do with kids on a snowy day.

Paint Chip Banner, Rebekah Gough via A Bit of Sunshine When Skies Are Grey
This DIY would make for a lovely Merry Christmas sign, JOY banner, etc for the holidays

coffee date

My routine has been to pour a cup of coffee every morning, cream and sugar of course, and with the morning mayhem and three kiddos running around, I maybe finish half of it, microwave it a couple times…and when my hubby comes home at 6 pm it’s still in the microwave, half-full. But I’ve switched from coffee to espresso…and I’m addicted. So addicted that I actually finish my cup of joe! I absolutely love it. It reminds me of Italy and it’s just so good. So, this morning, join me for a coffee date…and add these must-haves to your list for your next coffee date.

Custom Wooden Drink Stirrer, Tulle & Twig

The perfect, better-for-you-than-sugar, sweetener, Agave Nectar

Custom Coffee Spoons, Milk and Honey Luxuries

Make The Best Blueberry Coffee Cake You’ll Ever Have by A Cup of Joe to accompany your coffee.

State Heart Mugs, Grey Skies Blue
{such a cute going-away gift, wedding gift and moving away gift}

Create a little ambiance with coffee filter flowers like A Pumpkin and A Princess did. So cute!
