Have yourself a lovely Spring, Easter weekend…

1. Do yourself a favor, and listen to some John Legend this weekend. I have always liked John Legend. But after an intimate concert my hubby and I went to last week {yes, date night}, I’m obsessed! His voice was flawless, his humor was sincere and funny and his honesty in sharing his story made him even more personable and lovable. I would share our video we took of his famous “All of Me” but you would hear my hubby and I in the background singing…and that may ruin it for you. So, this weekend, listen to  ‘You and I’ {1st video below…song starts at 0:50}, ‘Good Morning,’ ‘Tonight {Best You Ever Had}’, ‘All of Me’ and one of my faves, ‘Stay with You.’

2. Jenna daydreams of devouring this daily, and now that she’s no longer preggo, she can! Cheers to Moscato Jello Parfaits.

3. This birthday cake you can send in the mail is better than a chocolate cake!!

4. Make this French Toast for brunch this weekend…SO incredibly delicious.

5. This video and story couldn’t be any sweeter, more beautiful, heartbreaking or inspiring.

TGIF y’all. Here’s some inspiration for your weekend.

1. Lauren Conrad’s new office space is so gorgeous, we had to share. If I had an office like this, I would never want to leave. Stunning! Thanks Domaine for sharing! You must see the rest of the gallery here.

2. Jenna, owner and designer at Fleur de Lis, is one of the finalists in this year’s ICON Awards for best invitation. Take the time to vote for her so she can win People’s Choice. Click on Vote, Register and look under Best Invitation, and vote for blushing romance.

If you remember last year, we won best wedding…and we made the cover. Victorious!

3. I’m sick in bed, so my emotions are high, but this video made me bawl – I did what Oprah calls the ‘ugly cry’! Make sure you have a box of tissues close. Video by LaFrance Films.

4. This Sweet Potato Pie recipe from 4 Men and 1 Lady is so delicious. I didn’t have time to make it for Thanksgiving last year, so I made it a couple of days after, and devoured it! So yummy…and if you don’t like Sweet Potatoes, this may just change your mind. Try it this weekend or add it to your Thanksgiving menu.

Laura Murray Photography, an incredibly talented photographer based in Colorado, played two big roles in this stunning wedding. Not only was she the bride’s sister and maid of honor, she was also one of the photographers {2nd photographer was talented Sara Hasstedt} responsible for capturing the beauty and emotion of the day. Job well done Laura. The setting is breathtaking, the details are lovely and the bride and groom radiate with pure joy. Thanks for sharing this charming mountain wedding with us Laura Murray.

bee inspired

One of the trends this year is inspired by those buzzing honey makers…and their honeycomb shaped hive. I have to say, I like it. I first fell for the ‘look’ when working with the fabulous ladies of Eclectic Hive. And, I’m an avid Project Runway fan, and I love what they did with the workroom this year – have you noticed the colorful honeycomb pattern on the walls? I love.

Today, after seeing the inspiration below, maybe you will fall for the honey too?!

Mandi at Vintage Revivals is REALLY talented and wows with this honeycomb, colorful wall. See how she did it here.

VosgesParis shares a unique, industrial white home with a very interesting floor – it’s worth checking out.

Add some honeycomb to any space with these beautiful West Elm vases.

We love these honeycomb shaped mirrors from Ikea, and for just $15, we love even more. Just think of the potential. The Curious Reserve has some wonderful ideas.

I want to go to this sweet party found at Sweetopia.

Buzz your way through the kitchen with this Nordic Ware Honeycomb Cake Pan from Williams-Sonoma.

These DIY modern honeycomb shelves impress and make a statement. Find out how to make at A Beautiful Mess.

The Every Last Detail featured a charming and beautiful honeycomb-inspired wedding. Very creative – you must see the rest of it here.

Here’s some more event inspiration from the ladies at Eclectic Hive. So pretty. Check out more gorgeousness from their opening house here.

coffee date

My routine has been to pour a cup of coffee every morning, cream and sugar of course, and with the morning mayhem and three kiddos running around, I maybe finish half of it, microwave it a couple times…and when my hubby comes home at 6 pm it’s still in the microwave, half-full. But I’ve switched from coffee to espresso…and I’m addicted. So addicted that I actually finish my cup of joe! I absolutely love it. It reminds me of Italy and it’s just so good. So, this morning, join me for a coffee date…and add these must-haves to your list for your next coffee date.

Custom Wooden Drink Stirrer, Tulle & Twig

The perfect, better-for-you-than-sugar, sweetener, Agave Nectar

Custom Coffee Spoons, Milk and Honey Luxuries

Make The Best Blueberry Coffee Cake You’ll Ever Have by A Cup of Joe to accompany your coffee.

State Heart Mugs, Grey Skies Blue

Create a little ambiance with coffee filter flowers like A Pumpkin and A Princess did. So cute!
