all you need is love

I always love when my beautiful friend Leigh calls me and says, “Jenna, I have a party idea … can you help me with invites, favors, and water bottle labels?!?” I love getting calls like this! Especially from Leigh, because I know when she throws a party, she does it right to the very last detail, and she does a beautiful job. It is so fun for me to be creative and help people plan a party with the papers they need to make it happen.
From the party planner and bride’s friend, Leigh:
Rachel and I have been best friends since our sophomore year of high school, so I was truly honored to host her shower, with the help of Liz and Kisa, and be a part of her upcoming wedding day. Since Rachel’s shower was only 2 days after valentine’s day, February 16, I thought I would do an ‘all you need is love’ theme for her.
We used design and paper from Fleur de Lis for the invite, water bottle labels, candy bag labels, gift bags (I had a ‘ring scratch’ game, and the 3 people who won received a bag from Fleur de Lis filled with napkins and a candle.
Guests enjoyed strawberry punch in mason jars, a mimosa bar (I didn’t take photos of that…ugh!), and brunch. I had each guest fill out the card about Rachel and  put them all in a book and presented it to her at the end of the shower. I ordered all her engagement photos for the shower and used frames from Michael’s and placed them throughout the house. Obviously, the candy station was the most fun.

unique gifts we love

We have an exciting announcement – Jenna at Fleur de Lis, a paperie, is rolling out an online store. Now everyone can get a taste of the fabulousness of her store, no matter where you live! More products will be added overtime, but there are some really fun gifts for sale now. Shop the boutique here.

Today, we have fabulous gift ideas for the bride, her bridesmaids and even the girl that just can’t find Mr. Right {we’ve all been there}. And, they are available online and at Fleur de Lis, a paperie.

Minimergency Kit for Her
Luck favors the prepared and we certainly hope the bride is prepared for her wedding day…and of course lucky too. These minimergency kits are a lovely gift for the bride {or for any friend} who likes to be prepared. Includes 17 mini beauty and person care essentials. Breath freshener, clear nail polish, lip balm, clear elastics, hair spray, and earring backs, dental floss, mending kit, double-sided tape, safety pin, deodorant towelette, nail polish remover pad, stain remover, tampon, emery board.

I took one look at this new gift Jenna started to carry in her store {not available online yet, but call the store at 303.996.6885 to buy one today}, and I was totally in love.

Dammit Doll
Ever have those days where nothing goes right, Mr. Wrong just isn’t that into you, someone pushed your buttons or you just can’t catch a break? I know my hand was raised…was yours?

Well, when things don’t go your way, just grasp a DAMMIT DOLL firmly by the legs and find a place to slam it…and as you whack the doll, yell “DAMMIT! DAMMIT! DAMMIT!” I promise, you’ll feel so much better, and no one will get hurt in the process.

the knot feature…

I was lucky enough to be the Maid of Honor for my BFF Shannon last summer. It was a happy day for me to see her blissfully happy and say “I do” to the man of her dreams…and look stunning while doing it. The details, colors and design of the wedding was absolutely gorgeous. YOU get exclusive photos and details of the wedding next week {I’ve been waiting more than a year to share it with you}, but wanted to give you a sneak peek today.

Her wedding was recently featured in The Knot Colorado…how fun is that?

Not to take away attention from the bride…cuz it’s always ALL ABOUT THE BRIDE {as it should be for all brides on her wedding day}, but that’s me…the 4th one from the left in the top photo below.
