new {i see me} book: goodnight little me

We are BIG fans of the I See Me books, not only as bloggers looking for great gift finds, but as mothers.

My son is one and a half, and LOVES to read books. We have a couple I See Me books, and love that they are personalized for our sweet boy. It makes reading more personal, special and fun. They are fantastic, unique gifts for babies and kids for birthdays, showers and now during Christmas time (hint, hint! This is coming up soon).

When we received our new I See Me book Goodnight Little Me, we stopped in our tracks to read it immediately! First of all, I love the larger size of the book. I also love the rich colors and seeing my son’s name spelled out on each page. This book presents a sweet parade of animals and lullabies page to page with whimsical illustrations. This sweet books is written by Jennifer Dewing and illustrated by Mary GrandPre, known for her magical illustrations from the Harry Potter series.

Books being the best resource for learning, we point out all the animals in the parade on each page, count the letters of his name, point out each letter of his name. There is so much to look at, read, and get lost in our imaginations in this book. It is the perfect book before bedtime and for all ages. Right now he likes to just listen and look. Before I know it we will be teaching him to read this book himself. My son will always have this book in his collection, with a special dedication written inside from his mother and father.

{free printable} thank you to those who serve

We have an amazing FREE PRINTABLE for you today, designed by Jenna at Fleur de Lis, a paperie. Our minds are working overtime for the latest and greatest that red, white and blue has to offer for the upcoming July 4th holiday {stay tuned}. Food. Drink. Party. DIY projects. But, in the midst of all our party planning thoughts, we really thought about one of the core meanings of the holiday – freedom. And, we wouldn’t be free without the men and women who fight for our freedom everyday. So, instead of a free water bottle printable today, we have a postcard for you to print…and share with someone in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Maybe this would have been better to share over Memorial weekend, but we believe this is ‘one of those things’ that doesn’t necessarily need a holiday to share it. In fact, we should say ‘thank you’ to all the courageous men and women who serve our country {and their families} for the sacrifices they make for our freedom ALL THE TIME.

We’re on a mission all you fabulous people! It’s our goal that every person in America {we DREAM BIG} prints the postcard at least 1 time, signs it, and sends or hand delivers it to a person serving in the US Armed Forces. You can deliver the postcard to a friend or family member, or someone you know, or it can be a total stranger you see at the grocery store or airport you see dressed in his/her military clothing, or you can visit a local Veterans Hospital or Military Support Group in your area. We believe it’s important to take the time out of our busy days to just say thank you and show people in the U.S Armed Forces how much we love and appreciate them.
It’s so simple. JUST CLICK ON THIS LINK, download and print the file. You can do it!
If you have any questions or issues, please e-mail us at trejsorelle@gmail.com.
Spread the grateful word.
Gratefully,
3 sisters: Jessica, Jenna and Jodi at Tutto Bella {Blog}

all you need is love

I always love when my beautiful friend Leigh calls me and says, “Jenna, I have a party idea … can you help me with invites, favors, and water bottle labels?!?” I love getting calls like this! Especially from Leigh, because I know when she throws a party, she does it right to the very last detail, and she does a beautiful job. It is so fun for me to be creative and help people plan a party with the papers they need to make it happen.
From the party planner and bride’s friend, Leigh:
Rachel and I have been best friends since our sophomore year of high school, so I was truly honored to host her shower, with the help of Liz and Kisa, and be a part of her upcoming wedding day. Since Rachel’s shower was only 2 days after valentine’s day, February 16, I thought I would do an ‘all you need is love’ theme for her.
We used design and paper from Fleur de Lis for the invite, water bottle labels, candy bag labels, gift bags (I had a ‘ring scratch’ game, and the 3 people who won received a bag from Fleur de Lis filled with napkins and a candle.
Guests enjoyed strawberry punch in mason jars, a mimosa bar (I didn’t take photos of that…ugh!), and brunch. I had each guest fill out the card about Rachel and  put them all in a book and presented it to her at the end of the shower. I ordered all her engagement photos for the shower and used frames from Michael’s and placed them throughout the house. Obviously, the candy station was the most fun.
