‘Tis The Season to Bee Joyful: Honey Gift Idea + Free Printable

bee joyful holiday gift tag-local Colorado honey

Last week, we thanked teachers, friends and family with a Thanks Fir Everything label to go along with Frasier Fir scented all-purpose cleaner. It makes cleaning smell so good! Today, we have another FREE holiday label for you + a sweet gift idea for this holiday season! We’re sharing a BEE JOYFUL label to go along with a honey-themed gift! It’s the sweetest!

We purchased local Colorado honey from Bjorn’s Colorado Honey this season. To go along with the honey, we bought adorable honeycomb waffle makers (for less than $12, these are must buy). Next, we made cute labels. You can either print the label on sticker paper, or attach it with a tag. These two items are great price points – the honey is $14 and up. The waffle maker is just $12. So you can buy both, or one or the other, but the label works either way! Get the free labels below (6 per sheet).

You still have time to order these gifts, especially the honey. That’s the beauty of ordering small and local. It’s not made in China. 🙂  If you don’t live in Colorado, they will ship to you. It arrives quickly, and they have deals happening right now.

We bought raw local Colorado honey for tea, baked goods and cooking. We also bought Propolis Honey. Propolis, sometimes called bee glue, is a mixture of plant sap, beeswax, and honeybees’ natural enzymes that helps keep the beehive in one piece, and prevents the growth of fungus. For humans, propolis has benefits, too. The flavonoids function as antioxidants, which helps with free radicals (can reduce risk of cancer), it’s a natural anti-histamine, has anti-inflammatory properties, and it’s rich in B-complex vitamins. Plus, it has anti-microbial properties, as well. Um, yes please. A tablespoon a day is what the bee ordered.

Last-Minute Halloween Printable + Cheesy Halloween Jokes

halloween jokes for kids-school halloween snacks-free printable

So, Jessica is last-minute with most everything she does. Jenna would have had this planned months ago, and she would have designed. But, with life being busy right now, and this being an extremely last-minute idea, Jessica created with Canva.

If you don’t know what to bring to the classroom Halloween party this year, grab bags of snacks or chips at the store, and we’ve got you covered with a free printable (see at the bottom of this post). You don’t need to bake anything, or come up with another cute Halloween party snack. Just print on Astrobrights sticker paper (or regular paper), and add it to a bag of chips (or oreos, or goldfish, etc). It has less sugar than the usual candy, and kids will love the cheesy laughs. A little effort goes a long way with this one!

Happy Halloween!

Hot Cocoa and Marshmallow Valentine Treat

marshmallow-heart-hot-chocolate-cup-valentine-cupid-arrow-textWe shared some gooey, yummy and sticky details on how to make the cutest cupid’s arrow made of marshmallows at Momtastic. Read more before you sip your next cup of hot cocoa.

Jessica is late to everything, and this post is no exception, but you still have time to make the arrow before Valentine’s Day tomorrow, and package it for friends and family like we did below. If not, there’s always next year!

Here’s What you Need to Do:

  1. Buy packets of hot cocoa.
  2. Create paper pockets. We ran out of cellophane bags, thus we created our own pockets for the packets made from Astrobrights Papers. Follow these instructions to make the paper pockets. It’s easy. All you need to do is fold paper and have a glue stick handy.
  3. Print the free printable, I love you like hot chocolate loves marshmallows, designed by Jenna at Fleur de Lis. Click here to download the printable.
  4. Glue the tag on the front of the pocket.
  5. Insert the packet in the pocket.
  6. Insert cupid’s arrow in the pocket. We wrapped our marshmallow arrow in a skinny cellophane bag and used Washi Tape to seal it.

{free printable} I Spy Game for Thanksgiving

ispywithmylittleeye_jsorelle

One of our kid’s favorite games to play at the dinner table is I Spy. So this year, we’re happy to bring the tradition of I spy with my little eye to the Thanksgiving table. And, we’re also going retro with the use of a disposable camera. We can’t believe how ‘old school’ that seems with all the high-tech electronics nowadays. But for the kiddos, they can use and abuse the camera, and feel like a professional photographer for the evening, and you don’t have to worry about the state of your expensive phone. And, the best part of all – you can really see Thanksgiving through your children’s eyes. Don’t we all wish we could see the world through the eyes of our children on a daily basis – what a beautiful gift that would be?!

Fleur de Lis created a cute and FREE printable for you that you can download here.

If you’re up for a DIY, we made the little DIY pumpkin napkin ring from a shower curtain ring. We wrapped the shower curtain ring in yarn, used a hot glue gun to keep the ends of the yarn in place, and topped it with a small branch and raffia bow. It took about 5 minutes!

you donut how much i love you

I plan to make the first day of the school year special with lots of photos, love, hugs, kisses..and donuts. Who doesn’t have a good day that starts off with a donut and love? And, we have a free printable for you too from Fleur de Lis! You can find it here. And, not just for the first day of school – for anyone you love, on any day of the week. Yay! Donuts for everyone.

I hope the rare goodness of chocolate and sprinkles before 8 am brings a smile to my kids faces’ and eases my kindergartener’s ‘first day of school’ anxiety. Heck, I think I need 10 donuts to ease my anxiety for the first day. Bring on the chocolate glazed donut for mama!

You can either print the printable directly on a white bag from Target like I did. Or, print and cut, then attach to a bag with a clothes pin.
